There is one common confusion that ebike users have while installing a wheel. That is which direction they should install the wheel. First and foremost you need to pay attention that your motor has 6 screws on one side. That side should be on the left hand side while you’re sitting on a bike. If you do have or don’t have a disc brake doesn’t matter, disk brake screws should always be on the left hand side. If you were to install the motor with screws on the right hand side while you’re sitting on your bike, your motor would be installed incorrectly and your bike starts going backwards instead of forward. As you can see from both pictures provided in the article, the disc brake screws can be on both sides of conversion kits.
